PDA Florida introduced a new recreational soccer adventure in the Fall of 2013, called the Palm Coast Recreational Soccer Program for ages ranging from 4 to 12 years. (In 2015 we expanded to U14 and in 2017 we expanded to U18.) Unlike most recreational soccer programs, Palm Coast Recreational Soccer Program functions under the guidance of seasoned coaches who provide support and direction to enthusiastic parent coaches. All practices and games will be played on the pristine fields of the Indian Trails Sports Complex. The objective of the Palm Coast Recreational Soccer Program is to provide a fun and enjoyable soccer experience for every child while developing soccer skills.

The Palm Coast Soccer Recreational Program also provides a unique opportunity for the talented and motivated players to progress into the PDA Academy programs. The PDA Academy is for more developed youth players (U8 and U10) who are prepared to work hard and be committed to reaching higher levels of soccer programming. The PDA Academy aims to be professional, approachable and friendly.

In the PDA Academy Program and in Palm Coast Recreational Soccer Program, developing players are encouraged to experiment, make errors and express themselves freely while developing both on the pitch and socially.

You can enroll for Palm Coast Recreational Soccer Program at www.pdaflorida.org. Click on LOGIN, then REGISTER. Remember to add the players as Participants.

 Fee is $120 per season (two seasons per year, fall and spring.
Fall = Sept thru Nov
Spring = March thru May
Uniform included.

Curriculum based training driven by the professional coaches of PDA Florida.

NEW DIVISION IDEA GOES VIRAL:  Due to the overwhelming positive response to this new Junior Recreational program, we are excited to make this a permanent program!

This program is for 3 year olds (and younger 4s that may not be ready to play in the under 6 division). These will be fun sessions consisting of soccer familiarization exercises and games. There will not be teams or Saturday games for this age.  To register, log into your account, add your 3 yr old as a participant, and sign them up for Junior Recreational.

Session cost: $50
This will include a soccer jersey and 10 x 30 minute fun soccer learning sessions.
Equipment needed:
cleats/flats (if possible - regular sneakers are fine as well)

Sessions will be weekly at Indian Trails Sports Complex or at Ralph Carter Park. Exact nights and dates will be determined at the start of each season.

Here's to the FUTURE of PDA Florida and the exciting opportunities these programs bring to the youth of the area!

Recommendations for youth soccer coaches:

* Referee some games -- to get an up-close look -- and watch how the children react to getting screamed at. Decide for yourself if it brings out the best in them.

* Do not prowl the sidelines. Watch from a chair. Nervous energy makes one want to stand and pace, but the children notice how unnerved you are and it doesn’t instill confidence.

* When you spot the mistake or bad decision -- and that urge hits to address it with a scream from the sidelines -- instead of yelling, jot it down in a notebook as something you’ll bring up in an unemotional way at halftime or at a future practice.

* If you have a really hard time suppressing the desire to articulate your frustration, chat with your assistant coach.

* Consider the probability that what’s going wrong in the game might be your fault.
